Sports massage on leg

Welcome to Cotswolds Sports & Soft Tissue Massage

My aim is to assist in treating both sport and non-sport specific injuries as well as helping with injury prevention and aiding with recovery. This is done by using a targeted approach with movement focusing on the muscles that are injured, healing or in need of relief.

You do not need to be a sports person to benefit from a sports massage.

I operate as a mobile therapist so can provide treatments in the comfort of your own home or workspace.

throwing a ball

How can a sports and soft tissue massage help you?

In my opinion, the difference between conducting a tennis serve or throwing a ball for a dog, is very minimal. It uses the same muscle groups and can lead to similar types of injury. Whether you injure your back by completing a weighted deadlift or by putting on your socks in the morning, a sport massage can help with your recovery and aid with injury prevention for the future.

Who I Am and What I Do

My Background

I undertook my Level 3 sports massage diploma at the Cotswold Academy in Cirencester in January 2023.

I am advanced first aid trained and a fully insured member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

I studied Sports Coaching and Physical Education at The University of Chichester where I achieved mt BA(Hons) in this subject. My dissertation was based on the mental placebo effect of isotonic sports drinks upon maximal performance which I gained a first class in and a 2:1 overall.

For the past 10 years I have worked within the policing world covering various roles within the police which is still my full time job.

I have competed in a variety of competative sports over the years, but most notably as a competative skier where I represented my university, gaining full colours, sponsorship and becoming the president of the ski and snowboard club at the University of Chichester, alongside the race and freestyle team captain.

My previous sporting experiences and day to day role, has led me to get various treatment over the years, which grew my interest in the area.

I still enjoy taking part in sport whenever possible, cyling, skiing, playing golf and hiking with my fiance and dog in the mountains.
